Mourn, then move on!

I’ve been in a funk lately about school.  I am a Teacher.  It’s harder this year than any other year.  They are trying to push us to push our students 2 years ahead because they are 2 years behind.

I’m usually a positive person, but lately I haven’t been.  I’ve complained, stood in offensive, shut down and stopped doing things I care about because of my bad attitude. But today, I felt God saying:

You’ve mourned, now it’s time to move forward in Faith. I will strengthen and renew you every morning. Then Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 came to mind:

1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

A season isn’t timed by our weather seasons like I thought.  They are timed by our ability to trust God and let him lead.  He allows us our time, but reminds us that He is in control and when to move forward.  I don’t want to be something He didn’t create me to be, I want to be just who He created.

So I will  prepare, then execute. Because I’ve been called and this season is over!
