Growth Mindset (DFIT)

In school, we teach children to change the way they think by changing how they think.  What goes in your mind comes out of your whole being. This concept also works for adults.  If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you cant.

One month ago, I joined DFIT Institute for Transformation as a virtual client.   It is a program where you will learn how to tap into a full body growth mindset that will help you reach your full potential.  You will work with winners who will help you create a new mindset so that you can improve your health, enjoy your body and transform your life.  Demetrius, Andrea and their team have created an environment for dedicated clients (in house and virtual) with a desire to improve their life working with determined coaches who aspire to help others get healthy and fit.  You will learn to transform your body, your business and your life.*

I am now in Phase 2, I am learning a lot about myself physically and mentally.  I know that I am a very strong and determined person, but I’m learning about self-discipline and not to give up so easily.  Change of body and mind take time and better habits form when you are aware of what you are allowing and putting into your mind and body.  DFIT has helped me learn that. I feel more in control of what I do daily for my body and mind. I’m learning to say “NO” to things that aren’t good for me and I am aware of what goes into my body.  It changes my thought process and it also changes my whole being.

I teach children to how to learn and how to treat themselves by creating better habits for their mind.  But as an adult, I need to do this for myself too. As parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles or even just humans, we tend to put ourselves last.  We can’t teach better habits if we don’t have any for ourselves and DFIT can help with that.

Change your growth mindset today!  Contact DFIT Institute for Transformation, it will change the way you see yourself forever!

Reality Check

People go around saying you need a reality check.  Well, what they don’t realize is that everyone’s reality check is different.

Whatever you are living, whatever your goals, whatever your dreams are, is your reality.  If you get off track, then your reality check is to reassess your whatever’s and get them back on track.  What you do will be different from others and how you get them back on track will be different. You can’t look at other people and do what they do.  You have to do what is best for your whatever’s.

Make a list (pro/con), think with your heart and your head, write down your goals and dreams and how you will get there.  Dream BIG! Make sure these are your ideas and not someone else. Devote time to prayer and ask God what His goals and dreams for your life are.  His plans are way better than yours and His journey is way more exciting.

Jeremiah 29:11  New International Version (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Ephesians 2:10 New International Version (NIV)

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God has already prepared and planned our lives for us.  We just have to follow him to follow our destiny. Now that’s a Reality Check!

I’ve had a lot of experiences with doors lately.  Whether it was a door for me or a door for a friend, doors bring choices where decisions have to be made.

Closed Doors

Some doors are closed.  They’re not your door or it is closed for right now.  STOP BANGING! This door will not open for you no matter what you do or how long you wait.  You will get frustrated and angry and upset and discouraged.

Advice:  Continue with the life you have now and when it’s time this door will open.  And whatever is behind it will belong to you and only you, IF you choose to it.

Open Doors

Some doors are open.  They’re doors that are for you and only you.  These doors are scary, exciting, make you nervous and wonder.  These are doors you have to make a decision to go through or not.  FAITH and TRUST is required at this door. You have to be BRAVE! You could decide to walk through or you could decide not to walk through.  It’s your choice.

Advice:  Walk through the door.  It’s what you’ve been waiting for!  It’s new and scary and different, but it’s what you’ve prayed for.  It is hand-picked just for you and no one else! God has been saving it for just the right time.  NOW!

Swinging Doors

Swinging doors exist, but these doors aren’t true doors.  These doors aren’t from God. These are doors we create ourselves because we can’t make a decision about what to do about something.  We’re on the fence, we’re taker-backers (giving something away and then taking it back) and we don’t share with this door. These doors cause a lot of problems for our lives.  Problems we create and then try to fix. DISASTER!

Advice:  Don’t create a swinging door!  Make decisions based on an open door or a closed door.  Don’t make your life harder than it already is. An abundant life doesn’t require any drama, but it does require work, love, trust, faith which will bring you peace!

These Doors bring us two choices:

Closed doors- walking away or waiting

Open doors-   walking through or walking away

This Door only gives us one choice:

Swinging doors- walking back and forth continuously

When given a choice, making a decision is hard.  Make a list, talk to friend, pray, etc. Know you who you are and your true self.  Make your decision based on you, what’s best for you and what is at your door. Whatever you choose becomes your life now!
