Just A Little Relief

I took some time this weekend to hang out with my adult kids and grandson. Seeing people who love me unconditionally really helped me to relieve some of the stress from the week. I wear so many hats as a Teacher that sometimes I don’t know what my real job is.

We went out to dinner and talked, laughed and ate really good food. Being able to share my feeling with my adult daughter, who is also a Teacher is a great big relief. We both talk about out jobs, so sometimes being us doesn’t feel so bad.

Take time to be with people who you can relate to you. Someone who listens, but doesn’t offer help or advice. You already know what to do, you just need to get your frustrations out.

I was the top left picture three years ago. I was overweight, slow, sick and miserable. I was done living like that. I wore big clothes to hide my weight. I ate horribly. My workouts have changed a little over the years to fit my changing body, but consistency, discipline and a growth mindset has been what I’ve learned from him to not give up.
